Friday - 05/13/2011
12:30am

The final blog! Well its been pretty miserable weather all week. Mainly due to the cloud cover and the moisture that has come with it from the west. The current conditions are:

Temperature - 12 °C
Dew Point - 7 °C (which is why we've had isolated showers around)
Barometric pressure - 1012.2 mb (which has been fluctuating between 1005-1016mb today)
Wind- North around 13 MPH
Cloud Type - Altostratus 100%

As you can see it is likely that the cloud cover will stick around with the current low pressure systems hanging around Wi. Similar conditions should continue for the rest of today and tomorrow, but we should see some sunshine and higher temperatures by Sunday when the high pressure system moves across from the west.

THANKS FOR FOLLOWING MY BLOG!

Tuesday - 5/10/2011
10:30am

The current conditions are:
Temperature - 17 °C
Barometric Pressure - 1004.4mb ( dropped about 4mb since yesturday)
Wind - East around 10 MPH
Dew Point - 10 °C
Clouds - Overcast/stratus

Looking at the surface map we should expect rain within the next 24hrs. Most likely late afternoon today, thunderstorms are also likely. We should have a high temperature of  about 24 °C today.

Monday - 05/09/2011
11:30am

As forecasted lastnight it did start raining/storming somewhere in the relms on 2-4am this morning and has continued until now. Most recently the barometric pressue has taken a abrupt decrease since 8am, it is now down to around the 1005mb mark and still decreasing.
The current temperature is a mild 11 °C, with dew point at 10 °C. The thunderstorms around are expected to stick around for the rest of the day and may produce high wind speeds. Currently our winds are southest gusts between 23-30 MPH, which don't look to be backing off.
As we can see in the surface there is alot of moisture in the clouds to stimulate the precipitation we are currently seeing. It also looks like a Colorado Low might be forming if the low pressure systems persist to shift North-east towards Wi. Thunderstorms should continue for the rest of today, we should expect to see similar patterns over the week with thunderstorms/rain around the state.

Sunday - 05/08/2011
9:30pm

Today we had temperature around the 22°C mark. Stratus clouds filled the sky at 100%, wind was east at around 8-10 MPH. Chances of rain draw very likely sometime in the early morning when temperature decrease. Barometric pressure is currently at 1011.9mb currently and steadily decreasing. Tomorrow we should have similar cloud life, most probably some sort of stratus cloud which should produce isolated showers.

Friday - 5/6/2011
2pm

The current temperature is 19 °C which is about 2 degrees higher then yesturday. Cumulus clouds are out today at about 60%. Pressure has dropped to 1008.6mb which is a decrease since wednesday when it was about 1026mb.Winds are moving NW at about 12MPH with some stronger winds every now and then. Cloud life is building up since this morning, i'm predicting some time tonight we should get a shower or two as the cumulus clouds look to be increasing. Temperatures should stay the same over the weekend, with possible rain on both saturday and sunday.

Wednesday - 05/04/2011
2:30pm

As forecasted the weather is similar to yesturday. Temperatures have increased but also cloud cover is starting to increase. This morning cirrus clouds moved in, now we have about 40% cirrustratus. The current temperature is 17 °C and will probably peak at 18 degrees. Barometric pressure is sitting at 1027mb. Wind is moving S at speeds between 15-27 MPH. The surface mpa shows a low pressure system heading towards Wi, and an occluded front also heading this way. This may bring some precipitation our way, maybe later on tonight or tomorrow.

Tuesday - 05/03/2011
1pm

Today the temperature feels quite brisk even though its about 8 °C which is warmer then the last few days. The wind is blowing in variable directions between 7-16MPH. Barometric pressure is at 1025.5mb which is quite high which could explain why we are seeing cirrus clouds which are deminishing, which may be because the pressure is still rising. We should see very cold temperatures tonight because of this. As we can see we have a high pressure system over Wi at the moment which is influencing the pressure trend. We should see similar temperatures tomorrow, maybe abit higher if the pressure drops and more clouds are around.

Friday - 4/29/2011
2pm

The same weather as the 27th persisted until today the 29th. Today the sky are clear with no cloud cover. temperature have risen to about 18°C. The wind has changed to 12 MPH SW. As we can see in the surface map the high pressure system sitting below Wi is influencing these conditions. It looks like tomorrow(maybe even tonight), cloud cover should return and should produce rain as the low pressure system moves across. It isn't clear what the conditions will be like next week, but hopefully this might be the last of the rain.

Wednesday - 04/26/2011
7pm

Over the last week we have had mainly rainy miserable days, with about one day of sunshine. Today has been similar! A little less rain about 10mm since 9am. The wind is currently at 8MPh NW, the temperature today had a high of about 6°C. Barametric pressure is at 1001.9mb and has been flucatuating between about 996-1004mb over the last week. The surface map tells us we should expect similar weather for the rest of the week, with maybe abit of sun on friday. As cloud cover has been overcast everyday when it hasn't been sunny.

Wednesday - 04/20/2011

1pm

After finishing my blog for yesturday about 5-10 minutes later sleet started to fall from the sky, which then turned to snow which went through the night and up until about 11:30 when it turned to rain. The current conditions are:

  • Temperature 3.2 Degrees Celsius
  • Wind - Calm
  • Cloud/type - 100% Altostratus
  • Dew Point -1.1 Degrees Celsius
  • Barometric Pressure - 1019mb
  • Precipitate - .09ml
I believe the Colorado Low that we expected didn't have as much energy as first anticipated. There still is alot of moisture in the clouds which are covering the majority of Wi. By the looks of the surface map it seems EC might have a clear day tomorrow or atleast in the afternoon, but will probably have the same conditions as seen today for the Easter weekend.

Tuesday, April 19, 2011

Tuesday - 04/19/2011
3pm

Today was supposed bring rain/snow but as of yet we have seen no sign of either! The current conditions are -
  • Temperature of 5 °C
  • Wind speed 20-23 MPH, NE (So it should be raining)
  • Due Point -7 °C
  •  Barometric pressure 1014.2 mb
Right now I don't understand why the cloud aren't producing precipitate. Stratus clouds fill the sky at 100% cover. The conditions are perfect and there is alot of moisture in the air, so I'm expecting rain anytime soon!

Monday - 04/18/2011
2:00pm

We have cold weather again this week unfortunately. Currently we have a temperature of 8 °C and a dew point of -7°C. Wind is moving 3MPH N, but has also been to the east throughout parts of the day. Cloud cover is at about 65% Cirrostratus cloud., and barometric pressure is sitting at 1014.8mb. The surface map indicated we are in for some 'Sh^tty' weather in the next few days, as a Colorado Low is developing. There is ample cloud cover over the majority of the country which is likely to produce alot of snow/rain with the system. I am forecasting snow (for earlier in the day) and rain (later in the day) for tomorrow as a result of the colorado low.

Friday, April 15, 2011

Friday - 04/15/2011
1pm

Temperatures have dropped today (and yesturday) as the cold front has moved through. The sky is currently filled with about 80% stratus clouds, and barometric pressure is at 1017.7 mb. The current temperature is at 6 °C which is about the high of today. Wind are between 17-28 MPH E, which is putting the windchill at 2 °C. We are likely to see similar temperatures tomorrow and possibly the weekend aswell. Precipitate in the form of rain maybe snow over the weekend if temperatures continue to drop, as we can seee on the surface map there is a high chance of precipitate occuring as the Low pressure system (which has alot of moisture surrounding it) will most likely track NE.

Wednesday, April 13, 2011

Wednesday - 04/13/2011
2:00pm

Today we have fine weather again, though about 80% of the sky is covered by altostratus cloud meaning we should see rain later tonight or in the early morning. Temperature has increased a fraction from yesturday to 17 °C, which may be due to the cloud cover, in the morning though it did feel considerably colder then yesturday. Barometric pressure is the same as yesturday sitting at 1018.7mb which indicates stable weather, if rain is in store for tonight then this should start dropping soon. Wind is at 10MPH NW, if rain does occur later tonight we should see a change to a NE wind later on. There is a cold front crossing the state as we speak, temperatures haven't decreased yet but should tonight/tomorrow. My forecast for tonight is possible rain with tomorrow also having a possibility of rain and closer temperatures.

Tuesday, April 12, 2011

Tuesday - 04/12/2011
1pm

As forecasted we are undergoing similar conditions to yesturday. There are some stratus cloud out at about 70% which is an increase from yesturday. Currently the temperature is 16 °C (exactly the same as yesturday) with dew point at 1 °C. Wind is 9 MPH but is coming from the west. Barometric pressure has risen to 1018.2 mb (a 10mb rise since yesturday) which is bringing stable weather. By the looks of the surface map it seems a cold front is moving in from the west, which will likely reduce temperatures. There is also cloud cover coming with it & a warm front just above it which is also likely to bring precipitate if the system shifts south.

Monday - 04/11/2011
3:20pm
After yesturdays tornado warning, we didn't actually receive any stormy weather here in Eau Claire. At the most we had a slight shower of rain. I believe the same conditions are occuring today, we are undergoing some warm weather through the day which is going to produce thunderstorms in the afternoon/night. Right now the temperature is sitting at 16 °C and the dew point is a 1°C. Wind is between 13-20MPH north and is looking to become calm, so a change in the wind is likely to occur sometime this evening. Barometric pressure has risen to 1008.8mb which is about 15-20mb above yesturday when the tornado warning went out.It looks like tomorrow will produce similar conditions to today, it is hard to tell at this moment but we will have a better idea once the wind changes. Right now the surface map is indicating clear and fine weather tomorrow (in Wi), it will be interesting to see what tomorrows surface map brings for the rest of the week.

Sunday, April 10, 2011

Sunday - 04/1-/2011
4:00pm

After a day of warm weather at about 26°C there is a strong chance of a tornado this afternoon. If not deffinantly a severe storm. As we can see on the surface map a large low pressure system is moving towards the state with a large amount of saturated air hanging off it (the warm front). Currently the barometric pressure is down to 989.4 which is a dramatic drop from earlier today. Warnings are out for the EC area for a tornado watch, so it should be interesting to see what the afternoon brings!

Wednesday - 04/06/2011

Todays weather was great, no thanks to my forecast as it was wrong today! Temperature peaked at about 15°C today which was great, wind chill however brought this down to about 8-9°C. Barometric pressure has risen since yesturday to 1011.3 mb, which is proabably why the low pressure system couldn't move in from the west.

Tuesday, April 5, 2011

Tuesday - 04/05/2011
1:30pm

As we can see todays weather is looking good! Minimal cloud cover with a few (about 10%) cirrus clouds about. the current temperature is 8 °C and dew point is at -7 °C. Barometric pressure has risen to 1006.0mb which is only slightly higher then yesturday. Winds are coming from the west at around 9 MPH. As we can see on the surface map minimal cloud is over the state. There is alot of activity on the east coast which is causing the strip of storms from North to South along the cold front as it meets the warmer air off the atlantic. For the coming days it looks like the low pressure systems and clouds are going to move in from the west which is likely to bring precipitate and miserable weather.

Monday, April 4, 2011

Monday - 04/04/2011
1:30pm

Today is miserable! A low pressure system has come in from the west as forecasted and has stuck around all weekend. Currently overcast cloud is above us and has been since sunday, creating isolated showers. Barometric pressure is still low at 1001.3 and has been at this point for about 3-4 days. Temperature is quite high, currently sitting on 6 °C which is mainly due to the high cloud cover, with dew point at -1 °C. Gusts of wind has been blow NW in the vacinity of 14-25 MPH. As we can see the Low above Wi is creating alot of cloud cover so I expect this will keep up for the rest the day with precipitate but should cease tomorrow. It looks like more cloud will move in from the west in the coming days later in the week.

Friday, April 1, 2011

Friday - 04/1/2011
4:30pm

Last night & today we had rain/snow as predicted! All throughout the day has been overcast sky's with drizzle falling lightly. Temperature at the moment is sitting on 3 °C with dew point sitting at 0. Barometric pressure has fallen to 1002.4 which is why this miserable weather is continuing. Wind is currently at 9 MPH, and has been changing W and NW throughout the day. As seen on the surface map we have alot of cloud cover over the state aswell as an occluded front which is causing instability and resulting precipitate. This weather may pass by before tomorrow but it looks like there is more on its way from the west which might hit tomorrow night or saturday.

Thursday, March 31, 2011

Thursday - 03/31/2011
1:17pm
Barometric pressure has again dropped today down to 1010.2mb, chances of precipitate are increasing! As we can see a low pressure system is moving in from the west as predicted, bringing cloud cover across. The current temperature is 4 °C with dew point at -9°C. Wind is blowing SE at 6 MPH, this is subject to change as the low moves in. The cloud formation is overcast at the moment which is probably indicating precipitate sometime tonight. Precipitate in the form of rain if it occurs early into the night and snow throughout the early morning. This weather should stick around for tomorrow aswell and should move through before the weekend at this stage.

Wednesday, March 30, 2011

Wednesday - 03/30/2011
12:30pm

As I forecasted similar conditions to yesturday are again present! A little less cloud formation about 20% cirrus clouds. The temperature is sitting on 2 °C and is expected to peak at around 4-5°C, dew point is sitting at -13°C so precipitate is not likely today. The wind is currently calm. barometric pressure has fallen from 1028.9 down to 1021.3 from yesturday, which could indicate a low is starting to move across from the west.  I'm thinking that in the next 1-2days this low will move across from the west possiblity bringing precipitate.

Tuesday, March 29, 2011

Tuesday - 03/29/2011
1:00pm

Right now the temperature is similar to yesturday (1 °C) as I forecasted, with dew point at -18°C. Barometric pressure is still again similar (1028.9mb) due to the high sitting over the state. The wind is pretty calm at the moment although meteorology sites are stating it at 3 MPH E. As for cloud cover today we have cirrus or cirrostratus clouds at about 30%. This afternoon/tonight we should see a change in the wind as the high pressure system is moving SE which will change our wind direction to NW. As you can see there is abit of cloud cover over the state but this shouldn't produce any precipitate. Similar conditions should be expects for tomorrow.

Monday, March 28, 2011

Monday - 03/28/2011
1:30pm

The temperature has increased since yesturday or atleast it feels that way! We're currently sitting on 0 °C with little to no wind which is making it feel quite pleasant (as the high moves down NE winds should be expected, which may result is storms). Barometric pressure has been steady, as it has only risen from 1026.9 to 1027.9mb since yesturday. Due point is sitting at -19 °C which is why the skys are clear today. As we can see the surface map shows similar events as yesturday, the high sitting over Wi has shifted down slightly and is likely to be causing these calm conditions. The western side of the country looks to be unstable at the moment over the mountain ranges, as there is a stationary front spanding from the north to the south which is a result of cool/warm air mixing. The forecast for the next few days in EC is looking to be clear and sunny with minimal cloud cover. Temperatures should stay in the 0-5°C range and most likely increase if the weather stays the same.

Sunday, March 27, 2011

SPRINGBREAK!

For spring break I headed south to florida where the weather was in the mid 80's all week. The majority of the cloud seen was cumulus humilis. Most days the wind was calm but there were one or two days with gusts of about 10-20MPH W. On the drive back throughout the states the majority of Georgia was covered in rain, the clouds producing this were Nimbostratus clouds. After heading through georgia we hit rain again in Kentucky which quickly turned into small snow flurries as the night progressed.

Sunday - 27/03/2011
3:30pm
The current temperature is -1 °C with dew point sitting at -13 °C. The skys are clear with wind speed and direction sitting at 7 MPH NE. The barametric pressure is sitting at 1026.9mb so no precipitate is expected in the near future. This pressure reading and also the wind direction is a direct influence of the high pressure system sitting over Wi.

Thursday, March 17, 2011

Thursday - 03/17/2011
6:00pm

It's nearly time for spring break and the forecast is looking good. We currently have altostratus cloud at about 65% over EC. The temperature is 9 °C with the winds coming from the West at 8 MPH. Barometric pressure is at 1008mb but rising. The dew point is at 2°C. I am predicting a fine day tomorrow with about the same cloud cover and temperature as today. As for the weekend I think we will get some precipitate.

Wednesday, March 16, 2011

Wednesday - 03/16/2011
1:00pm
My forecast for rain yesturday evening was correct! The current conditions are:

Temperature - 7 °C ( the high forecast to be about 10°C
Cloud - Overcast
Barometric pressure - 1016mb
Dew Point - 1°C
Windspeed - Calm

The forecast for tomorrow sees a very similar day to today. I believe the pressure may keep falling to around 1013mb and precipitate will occur sometime in the afternoon.

Tuesday, March 15, 2011

Tuesday - 03/15/2011
11:00am
Currently the sky is once again clear! Though there is a very possible chance of clouds moving in this afternoon as the pressure drops, which could produce precipitate. The current conditions are :

Temperature >1 °C (Todays high around 5°C)
Barametric pressure - 1020mb
Wind Speed - 8 MPH S
Dew Point - -4 °C

As we can see the low pressure system below and the the west of Eau Claire. These will likely influence the winds later in the day to be heading North West. The cloud cover should move across and possibly result in precipitate.

Monday, March 14, 2011

Monday - 03/14/2011
10:00am
Today we have clear skys and calm wind with pleasent looking spring day ahead. Currently we're sitting on about 0°C, but we're looking at a high of about 4°C.  Dew point is sitting at -21°C so the precipitation is not looking very likely. Barametric pressure is at 1030mb. As we can see in the surface map, Wi is fairly free of cloud and is in the middle of two high pressure system. Which is resulting in the current conditions. Tomorrow might bring a shift in the clouds which may result in precipitation, most likely in the form of rain as temperatures are increasing.

Friday, March 11, 2011

Friday - 02/11/2011
12:30pm
Currently the temperature is 1 °C which is similar to yesturday. Today we are looking at a high of about 4.5°C. The barometric has dropped from 1022mb to 1014mb, which is very similar to wednesdays pressure when we recieved snowfall. As a result of this I'm going to predict possbile snowfall for either tonight or tomorrow. Dew point is a -6°C, this is also going to increase the chance of precipitate as temperatures cool later on in the day. Wind is coming from the South at 13 MPH.

Thursday, March 10, 2011

Thursday- 03/10/2011
10:30am
Today is sunny with no clouds to be seen! Its warming up with a current temperature of 0 degrees celsius, and the high of the day will be around 5 degrees. The wind is coming from the NW at 10 MPH, which is putting the windchill at -4 degrees. Barometric pressure has risen back up to 1022mb, which is indicating the prepitation we've seen over the last to days has gone. Tomorrow i'm expecting the temperture to rise a few more degrees.

Wednesday, March 9, 2011

Wednesday - 03/09/2011
11:40am
Today its snowing! Therefore cloud cover is 100%, and visibility is about 200 meters. Wind is coming from the North at about 7 MPH. The current temperature is 1 degree celsius with dew point at -1. Windchill is bringing the feeling down to about -3 degrees. Pressure has dropped since yesturday to 1013mb. The stationary front over Wi is causing this instability resulting in precipitation. The large Low pressure system below the state will most likely stick around for the next day or two causing light to medium snow fall.

Tuesday, March 8, 2011

Tuesday - 03/08/2011
1:00pm
The current cloud cover is altostratus at about 75%, but i'm predicting by the end of the day it will be 100%. The current temperature is 2.2 degrees celsius, but the windchill is bring it down to about 0 degrees. Winds are blowing at about 8 MPH from the NE. Dew point is at -2.8 degrees and with current temperatures falling, precipitate this afternoon.tonight could be possible. Current pressure is 1023mb and dropping which is indicating the likely hood of precipitate in the coming days.

Monday, March 7, 2011

Monday - 03/07/2011
11:00am

Today it snowed flurries for the majority of the day. The temperature averaged around the 0 degree celsius mark. The temperature was right on dew point which was causing the precipitate. Winds were calm. As seen in the current conditions map there is an occluded front over the state. This is causing instability and could result in heavy snow fall as the warm and cold air masses mix.

Friday, March 4, 2011

Friday - 03/04/2011
1:00pm

Today temperature has warmed up from the previous days this week. A result of this might be the overlying overcast skys trapping the heat in. The temperature is currently at about 2 degrees celsius, but the with chill is bringing the feeling back to about 1 degree. The winds are coming from the NNW at 9MPH. A cold front is moving across Wi, but temperatures still seem to be quite high. Temperature might decrease by a degree or two over the weekend as a result of this cold front. The Low sitting below the state should keep the temperatures above freezing.

Wednesday, March 2, 2011

Wednesday - 03/02/2011
11:00am
Today is a little colder then yesturday as predicted, this cold air is probably a result of the cold front pushing across from yesturday. Today the current temperature is -16.6 degrees celsius, and the wind chill is making it feel like -25. The wind is currently blowing from the north at 9MPH. The clouds are Altoculumus and are covering approximately 55% of the sky. The baraometric pressure has risen to 1037.6mb, which could also be influencing this cold weather. I'm predicting similar weather tomorrow, with maybe an increase in temperature as the current cold front has moved through the area.

Tuesday, March 1, 2011

Tuesday - 03/01/2011
1:10pm
Temperatures have increased since yesturday to 37 °F (3 °C), this is most likely due to the cloud cover at the moment. The cloud cover is at about 80% and is Cirrostratus or Altostratus. Barametric pressure has dropped since yesturday to 1016mb. The wind earlier in the day has been pretty light, it is currently blowing SW at about 10 MPH and looks to be increasing. The surface map shows a Low just above Wi, this is pushing winds SW. We may see a some cold weather tomorrow as there is a cold front pushing across.

Monday, February 28, 2011

Monday - 02/28/2011
11:00am
Today the skys are completely clear, which has brought a brisk morning upon us. The temperature has fortunately warmed up to about 13 degrees, which is likely to climb a little higher as the day progressed. Right now the wind is moving from the NW at 6 MPH, this is making the windchill 4 degrees. Barometric pressure is at 1022.6mb and dew point is at 4 degrees. Temperatures have been increasing over the past few days so higher temperature should be expected throughout the week.

Wednesday, February 23, 2011

Tuesday - 02/23/2011
6:00pm
Currently the temperature is at 31 °F (-1 °C) which is feeling quite accurate as there isn't any wind at the moment. Winds earlier in the day were southernly winds blowing between about 5 and 8 MPH. Cloud cover today was at about 60% low stratus clouds. Tomorrow should show similar temperatures.

Tuesday, February 22, 2011

Tuesday - 02/22/2011
1:00pm

Today the sun is finally out again from the weekend! Clouds are completely absent which is elevating the cold weather! The current temperature is 22 °F (-6 °C) but the wind chill is bringing the temperature to 13 °F. Wind speed and direction is SE 8 MPH and dew point is at 14 degrees. There is currently two high pressure systems sitting around the state which is bringing colder tempertures in today.

Monday, February 21, 2011

Monday - 02/21/2011
9:30am

Over the last 24hours we've had a blizzard! The current temperature is 20 °F (-7 °C), with the dew point at 15 °F. We are currently experiencing light snow and wind gusts between 16-23 MPH E. Light snow and wind should continue into the late afternoon.

Friday, February 18, 2011

Friday - 02/18/2011
10:00am
Today is much colder then the past few days with the current temperature sitting at 23 °F (-5 °C). This may be due to wind gusts between 17-28 MPH W (Windchill 9 °F). Dew pont is at 14 °F which means precipitation isn't likely today, but we may see it over the weekend. The sky is sunny with no cold cover, which is bringing on the full effect of this chilly weather. Over the weekend we should see similar temperatures as today with highs around the 34 degree mark.

Thursday, February 17, 2011

Thursday - 02/17/2011
11:00am
Todays weather temperature is similar to yesturdays, it is currently sitting at 42 °F (6 °C). The skys are filled with fog (so humidity is at 100%) and there is no sun to be seen . Wind is blowing 9 MPH SE, with the windchill at 36 °F. Dew point is equal with the temperature at 42 °F, which is why the fog is hanging around. Visisbility is low at about 200m because of the fog. Later on the in the day we might see a slight temperature rise and also light rain. Tomorrow we should see temperatures drop to around the 30 degree mark.

Wednesday, February 16, 2011

Wednesday - 02/16/2011
1:20pm
Todays temperature feels like it has sky rocketed, shorts and T-shirts are out and about! The current temperature is sitting on 44 °F (7 °C) which is around the high for today. Right now the wind is relatively calm, but it has been blowing 4-6 MPH S throughtout the day. Cloud cover is at about 40%, but is building and we could see precipitate either late this afternoon or tomorrow. Temperatures may increase abit tomorrow by a few degrees.

Tuesday, February 15, 2011

Tuesday - 02/15/2011
1:20pm
Today the skys are overcast and the chance of precipitate is looking high. The current temperature is 38 °F (3 Celsius), with the wind blowing at about 13 MPH S which is resulting in a windchill of 31 °F. Dew point is at 28 °F, which is increasing the likeliness of precipitate. The airmass is currently coming from the southern regions and is most likely the maritime tropical mass, which is why we are seeing these high temperatures. We are likely to see these temperatures throughout the rest of the week.

Today has to be one of the BEST days (weather wise) I've had in the USA so far. It's currently 38 °F (3 Celsius), which is about as cold as it gets in winter in my home town. Wind speed is 7 MPH at the NW, with the wind chill at 33 °F. Dew point is sitting at 24 °F so the skys are partly cloudy. The coming days should bring similar temperature with the chance of precipitate, .

Wednesday -02/02/2011
11:00am
Current temperature today is a cold 2°F (-16.6 celsius). The sun is out and about with little to no clouds to be seen around campus. This absense of clouds are bringing on these colder temperatures as it allows very dense cold air masses. The wind is travelling at a speed of 8-mph coming from the NW. Dew point is at 9 degrees, which tells us we probably won't be seeing much cloud or precipitate today as the temperature is forecast to stay low. I'm predicting the temperatures to heat up tomorrow, with more clouds in the sky.
Tuesday - 02/01/2011
1:30pm
The current temperature is 19.6 °F (-6.8 celsius). Clouds/mist is covering the majority of the sky at about 75%, sunlight is shaded because of this. Wind is blowing ENE at 5.6 mph. Humidity is at 68% and due point at 8°F. Tomorrow will bring slightly cooler temperatures, with partly cloudy skys.
Monday - 01/31/2011
2:37pm
Current temperature is 18 oF, temperatures as low as 7oF may be seen throughout the day. Cloud cover is 100% (clouds looking like a thick mist). Small snow flurries are falling, the snow has picked up since earlier in the day since the temperature has risen. Wind is blowing NE at 12mph, which is making the temperature feel a little colder. Humidity is at 68%. Tomorrow will bring lower temperatures but more sunshine, with less snow falling.
